The Capstone Project

The final project in the CIDD is a hands-on end-to-end design and development of a course . Your ‘client’ has asked you to put together a new module on Design Thinking which will be made available to all company staff through their LMS. The client would like to see design thinking permeate throughout the company as a way of sparking new innovation.

Following up on our last discussion, we agree that a module on Design Thinking would be useful as it should be part of our company culture. Here are our expected deliverables for this instructional design project:

1, Use the Learning Designer tool to develop the module and specify the outcomes, timing, and teaching learning activities. The module should take no more than 30 minutes but it could be less.

2. A Participant Study Guide using the provided template to provide learners with study instructions for the design thinking module.

3. A prototype of at least one lesson which can either be a narrated slide presentation on MPEG4 video format or an animation production using Animaker, Powtoon, or Doodly. The sample lesson should be around 3 minutes.

Participant Study Guide Template – it is a Word file so you can modify as you want. Add more blocks or change icons.

For the prototype lesson, you can use either to narrate a Power Point video or use any animation tool.
